In 2022, the single-story residence known as Casa Quase Verde was built by PSB Architects. Located in Ovar, Portugal, this beautiful house mixes modern architecture with natural beauty. Its ‘nearly green’ outside and intelligent design create a peaceful hideaway that effortlessly integrates interior living areas with vibrant greenery outside. This is a place where openness and seclusion can both be enjoyed at once: it’s a home where open spaces are valued without sacrificing privacy.
Casa Quase Verde: Mixing up nature and design
Located in Ovar, Portugal, Casa Quase Verde is a beautiful residential project realized by PSB arquitectos in 2022. This one-storey house sits in its rural context and merges with the surrounding eucalyptus forests. It takes the shape of a rectangle, slightly greenish which helps it visually relate to the luxuriant landscape.
The outside is characterized by straight lines and big blind walls that create a peaceful and private environment. The frontage has some strategic openings that allow light and nature into the building without compromising privacy. The plan creates a fine balance between openness and enclosure thereby fostering smooth interaction between inside and outside spaces.
